A mill-type cylinder is a heavy-duty hydraulic cylinder whose end caps are bolted to thick flanges on the tube, without external tie rods.
It is built for continuous operation, high pressures and shock loads, as in presses, steel mills and heavy equipment. Pernoscal makes mill-type cylinders in 160, 180 and 250 bar classes.
