Cookies and Analytics Notice
Draft — pending legal review
This page is a draft prepared for review by Pernoscal and its legal counsel. It is not yet in force and may change before publication.
No cookies for visitors
The public Pernoscal website does not set cookies on your device: no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics cookies. That is why you do not see a cookie banner.
What we store in your browser
If you choose a light or dark theme, the site remembers your choice in your browser's local storage so the page opens in the same theme next time. This setting stays on your device; it is not sent to us and does not identify you.
Some forms, such as the quote request, can keep an unsent draft in local storage so you don't lose your work. The draft stays on your device until you submit the form or clear it.
How our analytics work without cookies
We count visits with our own first-party analytics, not with third-party tools. Each day, a random code is created from your IP address, browser details and a secret value that changes daily. The IP address itself is then discarded and the daily secret is deleted, so visits cannot be linked across days or traced back to you.
We count pages viewed, the site you came from, approximate country, device and browser type, and actions such as starting a quote request. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, your visit is not recorded.
Spam protection on forms
When you submit a form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the request comes from a person and not a bot. The check is provided by Cloudflare from its own domain and is used only for security. See our Privacy Policy for how this data is processed.
Videos
Where a page includes a video, it is not loaded until you click it. Only then is the video loaded from YouTube's privacy-enhanced service, which is subject to YouTube's own policies.
Staff dashboard
Pernoscal staff sign in to a separate administration dashboard, which uses strictly necessary, secure session cookies. These cookies are set only for signed-in staff, never for website visitors.
Managing local storage
You can clear local storage at any time from your browser settings, usually under site data. The site will then return to its default theme.
