Tie-rod cylinder
Also called: tie rod cylinder, NFPA cylinder, ISO tie-rod cylinder
A tie-rod cylinder is held together by threaded steel rods that run outside the tube from one end cap to the other.
The design is compact, follows widely used standard dimensions and is easy to dismantle and service, so it is common on general industrial machinery. Pernoscal makes tie-rod cylinders to metric ISO pressure classes of 160–200 bar and to NFPA ratings of 2500–3000 psi.
